Within the framework of the Information and Network Engineering specialization, students study the principles of construction, operation, support, maintenance, monitoring and design of modern network infrastructure. Bachelors receive basic knowledge of basic network technologies (computer multiservice networks, access networks, transport networks, the Internet, mobile networks, Internet of Things) and technologies for software development and information processing (databases, web programming, data analysis, etc.) .), provides in-depth knowledge in the field of system administration of computer networks at both local and global levels, including support, maintenance and monitoring of cloud and distributed computing resources.
In the first and second years, the foundation of knowledge on network and IT-technologies, basic principles of building a global information infrastructure is laid.
In the third and fourth year, students study in depth the directions they have chosen of their own accord that meet modern trends in the IT industry and telecommunications: Internet of Things, mobile networks, DevOps, Web programming, information technologies in business, Data / Web mining.
Classes in special disciplines are held, in particular, in specialized laboratories of the department, which are equipped with modern equipment (from Ericsson, Cisco, D-Link, Samsung, Altera MAX, ZyXEL, Watson, SunSet, Texas Instruments, etc.) and powerful computers with standard and specialized software.
To consolidate theoretical knowledge and practical skills, students are sent for internship at the leading enterprises of Kharkov of the corresponding profile, including Ukrtelecom, Iskratel-Ukraine, Rivas, 1C-RARUS (TM TELLUR), Maxnet, Lifecell, Datagroup and others.
